The Allure

Effortlessly graceful, brilliantly poised, and utterly refreshing. While the masses instinctively look to the over saturated, identical pale pinks of Provence, the savvy epicurean pivots to the legendary, cold climate chalk beds of Hampshire. Masterminded by visionary winemaker Jacob Leadley and Zoe Driver in the trout fishing capital of the Test Valley, Dancer in Pink completely steps away from industrial shortcuts. It delivers a strikingly smart, meticulously geeky, and hyper premium boutique rosé that perfectly pairs laid back British summer charm with a sophisticated, world class framework.

Why It’s Exceptional

The Taste: A beautiful, brilliant pale pink pour that catches the light with diamond clarity. The nose is incredibly lifted and pretty, opening with gorgeous aromas of fresh wild strawberry, crunchy red cherries, and delicate cherry blossom. On the palate, it shifts effortlessly from fun to serious, unfolding an abundance of juicy, vibrant red fruit and hints of pear, underpinned by a stunningly rounded creaminess from full malolactic fermentation and balanced by a lip smacking, chalky mineral texture with soft, appetizingly dry tannins.

The Pedigree: An unusually brilliant, geeky blend utilizing a fine clone of Pinot Noir (Clone 779) alongside whole-bunch pressed, co-fermented Pinot Précoce and a dash of skin contact Pinot Gris. Sourced from four distinct, low yielding family owned vineyards planted over a massive hunk of pure, ancient chalk bedrock, this zero oak, minimal intervention beauty captures a crystalline varietal precision that leaves generic rosés trailing in its dust.

The Ritual: Absolutely phenomenal as a high society conversation starter or a sophisticated gastronomic companion. Keep it beautifully chilled (8–10°C) to make its crisp acidity and rich texture truly dance in the glass. While it makes a sublime standalone sipper on a sunny afternoon, its serious vinous structure allows it to cut flawlessly through BBQ belly pork, smoked salmon with cream cheese, artisanal charcuterie, or garlic grilled prawns.
