Full Description

The Allure

Vibrant, pulse raising, and packed with authentic Tuscan soul. While mainstream drinkers get lost in the sea of generic Chiantis, the true Italian devotee looks to the historic clay hills of Montepulciano for pure, unadulterated pleasure. Masterfully brought to life by Caterina Dei, this Rosso is the absolute antithesis of heavy, over extracted reds. It is a highly intelligent, forward thinking pour that captures the immediate, high energy joy of young Sangiovese, bringing a sleek, contemporary edge to ancient wine traditions.

Why It’s Exceptional

The Taste: A bright, luminous ruby pour that practically glows in the glass. The nose is instantly captivating, bursting with crunchy red cherries, wild pomegranates, and fresh violets, laced with subtle, savory hints of white pepper and Tuscan underbrush. On the palate, it delivers a beautifully energetic, medium bodied drive where juicy red fruit flavors are framed by fine grained, lively tannins and a lip smacking, mineral infused finish.

The Pedigree: Driven by a minimum of 85% Sangiovese (locally called Prugnolo Gentile), rounded out with native varieties from the estate’s pristine, sustainably managed vineyards. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel to fully protect its dazzling primary aromatics, it is briefly rested to ensure a perfectly seamless, fruit forward architectural profile.

The Ritual: Remarkably versatile and built for immediate gratification. Serve it just slightly cool (around 14–16°C) to make its bright red fruit architecture truly sing. It acts as an elite companion for casual, high spirited dining, pairing seamlessly with a rich ragù, wood fired pizzas, a spread of fennel salami and pecorino, or grilled lamb chops.
